This Vintage Life...



This great little booklet was produced by the wool company Patons and contains over 40 ideas for knitted, crocheted and embroidered items suitable for selling at fairs and bazaars, although they would of course make lovely gifts. Although the book dates to the 1970's a lot of the patterns were reprinted from Stitchcraft magazine which was around in the 30's and 40's and so many of the items have that vintage feel. There are toys, baby clothes, gloves, tea cosies, socks, ties, aprons, the list goes on and on...far too many items for me to list here so please see below for pictures of the full contents. Some of my personal favourites are the thatched cottage tea cosy, the embroidered Radio Times cover and Pinkie the Poodle! 43 pages.
