English Villages & Hamlets by Humphrey Pakington
 
This lovely travel book dates to the mid 1940's and is an amble around 130 English villages, every one visited by the author.
 
Contains many black and white photographs along with line drawings. I wonder how many of these villages still look the same today?
 
There is a bookplate inside dating it to 1944.
 
Hardcover with a lovely colour dustwrapper. This has some wear around the edges. The book itself is in nice, clean condition; a little foxing , nothing too serious. Binding good and tight. Name writtten very small on first endpaper.
