Embroidered Patience Strong Verse
 
This embroidered verse by Patience Strong is complimented beautifully by the abundant cottage garden flowers alongside it, not to mention the sweet little birds!
 
Under glass and surrounded by a tape 'frame' these embroideries were a popular pastime for ladies in the 1930's and 40's.
 
This one is in excellent order, just a bit of wear to the frame, nothing too serious. The colours are still lovely and bright and how true that verse is!
